My Comments
I needed a sampler with a longer sample time. I thought there should be a cheap alternative and bought a bunch of electronics and started to make my own. I wish this would have worked, but I ran out of patients and saw this. It SHOULD play back 8 samples. It SHOULD work for me. But of course it didn't. Why you ask? Well for some reason you can't just use any old WAV file, and honestly that would have been OK if it was some sort of standard, but it is not. It is supposed to be a MONO 16 Bit sample at 48,44.1,32,22.5 or 11.205 KHz. I have made this spec sample and they WILL NOT play on the MPX8. So instead I have to use thier buggy software, where I have had more samples corrupted than not. Then I use what I thought was a medium use of MIDI, where there are several messages going to several keyboards and effects, but the MPX8 was not having it. It would respond to program changes not on it's channel and notes that are not assigned to it, nor on it's channel. In the end I was able to make a huge work around to fit the MPX8 into my system for 2 meagre voice samples. Oh and it's hardwired to channel 10, so if you want to play any other drums, best of luck. I would say, not really worth the 100$ I spent on this. At least I got it to work, maybe I'll go back to working on my electronics project.
