My Comments |
I found this abandoned,
and got it for free. It was in real rough shape. No cord (no big), broken
buttons, stuck keys and ultimately dead. I cleaned it up, and started fixing
it. When I got power the next day I was overjoyed at the sound. Big thick
and rich. Maybe some would not mistake it for a piano, but I was very happy.
Five tones - piano1, piano2, harpsichord, vibraphone, and epiano. Two chorus',
and surprizingly MIDI! Built in speakers and a line in. I am not a paino
player, so the feel of the keys is heavy but fine, and there are so many
of them, this is my first fullsized keyboard. I swear it weighs 100lbs,
but it comes with it's own stand including damper and soft pedals. I still
have some repairs to do (some sticky keys, an new power switch, and new
sliders for volume and brightness), but I have already fallen in love with
this unit. I just don't want to have to move it too often!
May 2008: just found a manual, a few interesting things I never would have guessed: A multi-timbre mode, Program changes via a matrix on the keys, and a few odds that I'm still sorting out. Just waiting for some cash to buy parts ... Dec 2008: fixed power switch and got a new cable, still have to fix the sticking keys. My parts guy said, if any of the contacts stop working basically your out of luck. ;( Sep 2012: I am so very sad, there just wasn't enough room here, and I never got around to fixing the couple fo sticky keys. So I sold it. It was a very nice piano, and I wish I could have kept it. |

2012: I had it set up in the basement, but my stepson moved home and there just wasn't room for 8 keyboards. Plus I never did get around to fixing the 3 sticky keys. Heartbreaking but I had to do it. 2010: Unfortunately there is no room at the house for this so it is in storage. I hope in the future I can make room for it and bring it home. Dec 2008:I at the moment
have it set up in my dining room! I am gearing up for a live Beker show,
and am practicing as much as possible. Although it's not incorperated in
the show I just like having it set up.
