My Comments
I bought this for my bass rig, and truthfully never really used it. There was one feature, the External control jacks, that led me to some experimenting and eventually stealing it for my Bëker rack. These jacks were to work with the Boss Microrack series so you could automatically have them on or off when you changed a patch on the GP-8. I had a nefarious idea. Perhaps I could trigger the patch up contol on my MKB-200 which doesn't recieve MIDI. While it isn't the best solution it does work! I now hope to use it for a few effects for the older keyboards that have none. I was at first planning to use it for vocals (which I still may do) but I will have to figure out a way to merge the 2 mic signals (which I will have to do eventually anyway as I have a VP-70 in the mail!). So I am still underusing it but it's time will come.

I have had the unit for a while and liked the few effects I have played with. I threw some sounds in the first bank and enjoyed the distortions and t-wah on the bass. I wish the phaser was a bit deeper but again this effects unit is for guitar. I hate the compressor it makes everything quite noisy. I hope I can get more use out of it. I am thinking about getting a GP-100 for my bass. I guess I just don't use that much for effects.

I rate it
I bought it for 120$ c
I owned it from 2005 - present
Current PrePay value ?$ us
condition of my gear
cosmeticaly Rackmounts usually have minimal marks or blemishes
electronicallyWorks really well
2016: it is in rack 2 used for effects line for the M-120 mixer and it is also switching the patches on the MKB-200. Unfortunately it has problems when it gets hot.

2014: The FX was moved from my bass rack (where it has been for the last 9 years) to the Bëker rack where hopefully I will get more use out of it.

I don't think I will find much for this
